An easier way to do this is to look at the number of sides (9) and subtract it by 2 (7). Then you can just multiply that number by 180
this works for every polygon

Answer:

1260

Step-by-step explanation:

First you will need to find the amount of sides of the polygon:

(After looking it is 9)

Each angle of the side of a nonagon is 140 degrees.

Multiply by 9 since you can make 9 triangles:

140 x 9 = 1260

What is pi and why is it important
Allushta [10]
Pi<span> (π) is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. It doesn't matter how big or small the circle is - the ratio stays the same. Properties like this that stay the same when you change other attributes are called constants.

Explain why angle is considered a defined term in geometry.
77julia77 [94]

Answer:

An angle is considered a defined term in geometry because defined terms are terms that have a formal definition and can be defined using other geometrical terms.

Angle: Two rays that share the same endpoint, however, the rays take off in different directions. The area in the middle of the two rays is the angle measure.

A company estimates that it will sell ????(x) units of a product after spending x thousand dollars on advertising, as given by ?
zepelin [54]

Answer:

(11\frac{1}{3},20)

Step-by-step explanation:

If the Number of Sales of x units, N(x) is defined by the function:

N(x)=-5x^3+235x^2-3400x+20000,10\leq x\leq 40

N'(x)=-15x^2+470x-3400\\When -15x^2+470x-3400=0\\x=20, x=11\frac{1}{3}

Next, we text the critical points and the end points of the interval to see where the derivative is increasing.

N'(10)=-200\\N'(11\frac{1}{3})=0\\N'(19)=115\\N'(20)=0\\N'(40)=-8600

Thus, the rate of change of sales N'(x) is increasing in the interval (11\frac{1}{3},20) on 10≤x≤40.

Convert the equation (y + 2) = –1/3(x – 4) to the point-slope form. Then fill in the blanks below to describe how to graph the e
alisha [4.7K]
The point-slope form of the equation of the line is:

(y - y1) = m (x - x1)

So, (y + 2) = - 1/3 (x - 4) in the point-slope form is:

 [y - (-2) ] = (-1/3) [ x - 4 ]

You must, then realize that the line passes through the point (4,-2) and its slope is - 1 /3.

That slope, -1 / 3, means that the function is decresing (because the slope is negative),  and it decreases one unit when x increases 3 units.

Now you can fill in the blanks in this way:

Plot the point  (4, -2), move 1 unit down, and 3 units over to find the next point on the line.
