Answer:

8 x 6 = 48

48 divided by 2 = 24

24 x 2 = 48

10 x 12 = 120

120 x 2 = 240

8 x 12 = 96

Add all given areas:

48 + 96 + 240 = 384 in2 is your answer.

An artist wants to make alabaster pyramids using a block of alabaster with a volume of 576 cubic inches. She plans to make each
8_murik_8 [283]
Volume of pyramid:

V= \dfrac{1}{3} \cdot A \cdot H

A - base area
H - height

First count volume of one pyramid:

V=\dfrac{1}{3} \cdot 3 \cdot 4=4 [\hbox{inch}^3]

So by using 576 inch^3 you can make 576 : 4 = 144 pyramids

Ierofanga [76]

First lets get the formula for a triangular prism

v =( \frac{1}{2} bh)h

First lets plug in our numbers

v =( \frac{1}{2} \times 7 \times 4)8.5

It really doesnt matter how you multiply everything, but you end up with 119cubic feet.

Mack the bug starts at (0,0) at noon and each minute moves one unit right or one unit up. He is trying to get to the point (5,7)
PSYCHO15rus [73]
<span>This is a very nice counting question. Suggestion / Hint: Count how many ways he can get from (0,0) to (5,7) by going through the point (2,3). Then subtract that from ALL POSSIBLE ways he can get from (0,0) to (5,7). Hint for the hint: How many ways he can get from (0,0) to (5,7) by going through the point (2,3)? Well, that's the SUM of how many ways he can get from (0,0) to (2,3) and how many ways he get get from (2,3) to (5,7). Hope this helps! :)</span>
