Answer:

A. The use of columns on the Supreme Court building in Washington, D.C.

Explanation:

There were typically 3 types of columns used by the Greeks for their relatively important buildings.

The first, and most simplest one, is known as the Doric. The column was typically made of marble, and was generally only used as a support. It had very little markings that adorn it.

The second version is known as the Ionic, with a few small markings that allowed it to be set apart as "more" important than that of Doric.

The third version is known as the Corinthian, and was used in the most important buildings or of those owned by the rich, such as temples, palaces, etc.

The Supreme Court is heavily influenced by the Greek Age, as it saw too the usage of marble, and marble columns. The frieze also heavily used marble, and was also adorn with an event, similar to what would typically be found in a Greek temple.

Explain the relationship between Jim Crow Laws and the court case "Plessy Vs Ferguson"
xxTIMURxx [149]

Jim Crow Laws enforced segregation between black and white people. The court case "Plessy Vs Ferguson" was trying to please people by enforcing the "separate but equal" law. Basically, they wanted to make the two races separate, but they thought it would be fine as long as both places were the same in quality and quantity.

To sum it up, Jim Crow Laws were to separate the two, but black people were given schools that weren't as good, trashy bathrooms, etc. It was also made to make sure that black people could not go some places on certain days, or at all. The "Plessy vs Ferguson" case was to try to make it better by separating the races, but having both bathrooms the same and both schools the same so none is better than the other.

I hope I helped.

Liono4ka [1.6K]

Options A, C, E.

Here is why:

It lost interest in progressive causes.

Before and during World War I, many people who were progressive supported the war. Woodrow Wilson, who was the president of the United States at the time, made it seem like World War I was the "war of all wars" and it would end violence around the world. This seems very contradicting, but progressives believed in what he was saying along with other citizens. All of this caused progressivism to fall after World War I, as people started to realize the cruelty and death that happened during the war and associated being progressive with wanting war.

~

It wanted to return to a normal lifestyle.

After World War I was over, many American citizens just wanted to return to a normal lifestyle. World War I came with many casualties, hardships, and cost the United States a lot of money. Many people were tired and wanted to return back to normal and wanted to avoid another huge conflict. This caused the debate if whether or not the United States should back away from foreign affairs and even try to ignore them.

~

It was very concerned with the question of isolationism or internationalism.

Although some people in the United States wanted to back away from foreign affairs, isolationism and internationalism was always a question. Isolationism is the act of ignoring and not getting involved in foreign affairs and wars, even if a friendly foreign country needed help. Some people wanted this, as they didn't want anymore American casualties and debt and wanted to always remain in a normal and comfortable lifestyle. Internationalism is the exact opposite and is the act of getting involved in everything important in outside affairs and occurrences. Many people argued that this was correct, as it was important that America evolved with the country to exert and bring peace and prevent wrong doings, harmful ideologies and some countries from becoming too powerful.
