How homeostasis is achieved in a mammal by reference to blood sugar level
masha68 [24]

Answer:

Homeostasis is achieved thanks to the coordinated functioning of all tissues, organs and systems  of the organism. In Mammals, this coordination is carried out by the nervous and hormonal systems, structurally and functionally linked.

Explanation:

Homeostasis is the constancy of the internal environment, even in the face of variations in the external environment. Glucose is the main fuel carbohydrate in the blood and, in the case of many organs, the basic fuel. Blood plasma carries it to all parts of the body. A large number of organs are responsible for maintaining blood glucose at a constant level, these are, the liver, the pancreas, the medullary portion of the adrenal gland and the hypothalamus, it serves as the main regulatory center. On the other hand, if the level of glucose in the blood decreases, the pancreas releases less insulin and more glucagon, a hormone with multiple effects, which together produce an increase in the levels of glucose in the blood, returning to their normal range.
