Answer:

A) We know that the table is 6ft long, and the tablecloth is 180cm long.

We know that:

1in = 2.54 cm

we also know that:

1ft = 12 in

Then 6 ft, is equal to 6 times 12 inches.

6ft = 6*12in = 72in

And we know that each inch is equal to 2.54cm, then 72 inches is equal to 72 times 2.54cm, this is:

72in = 72*2.54 cm = 182.88cm

So the table is longer than the tablecloth, this means that the tablecloth is not long enough to cover the table.

B) The ratio is:

3 parts of red paint to 4 paints of blue paint.

This means that if you have 4 fluid ounces of blue paint, you should need 3 fluid ounces of red paint.

But Chris has half that amount of blue paint (2 fluid ounces) so he also should use half that amount of red paint.

Then he needs:

(3 fluid ounces of red paint)/2 = 1.5 fluid ounces of red paint.

C) We know that one dozen costs $15.

There are 12 muffins in one dozen.

Then the cost per muffin, will be equal to the total cost divided by the number of muffins, this is:

Cost per muffin = $15/12 = $1.25

Each muffin costs $1.25

D) The total number of dozens made is:

18 + 16 + 24 + 14 = 72

So there are 72 dozens, this represents the 100%

72 = 100%

And there are 18 dozens of pumpkin muffins, we want to know which percentage represents 18.

Then:

18 = X%.

So we have the two equations:

18 = X%.

72 = 100%

Now we can take the quotient of these equations and we will get:

(18/72) = (X%/100%)

Solving this for X%, we get:

(18/72)*100% = X% = 25%

Consider the equations 15x + 9y = 45 and 9x + 8y = 12. Solve the system of equations using elimination. Give your solution to th
True [87]

Answer:

(-5.77, 6.46)

Step-by-step explanation:

15x + 9y = 45 ----------- i

9x + 8y = 12----------------ii

Multiply equation i by 9 the coefficient of x in equ ii

And equation ii by 15 the coefficient of x in equ I

9 x 15x + 9y = 45 ----------- i

15 x 9x + 8y = 12----------------ii

135x+81y = 405

135x+120y= 180

Subtract equation ii from I

135x-135x+81y-(+120y)= 405-180

-39y=225

y = 225/-39 = -5.77

Insert the value of y in equ i

15x + 9y = 45

15x+9(-5.77) = 45

15x-51.92=45

15x = 45+51.92

15x= 96.92

x = 96.92/15= 6.46

(x,y) = (-5.77, 6.46)

x = 6.92/15

Subjects for the next presidential election poll are contacted using telephone numbers in which the last four digits are randoml
vovikov84 [41]

Answer: 0.3439

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :The last four digits for telephone numbers are randomly selected (with replacement).

Here , each position can be occupied with any of the digit independently .

Total digits = 10

Total digits other than 0 = 9

For each digits , the probability that it is not 0 = \dfrac{9}{10}=0.9

If we select 4 digits , The probability of getting no 0 =(0.9)^4 =0.6561

(By multiplication rule of independent events)

Now , the probability that for one such phone number, the last four digits include at least one 0. = 1- P(none of them is 0)

=1- 0.6561=0.3439

Hence, the probability that for one such phone number, the last four digits include at least one 0. is 0.3439 .
