Answer: d = 400 m

Explanation:

Distance during acceleration

d = ½at² = ½(2.0)10² = 100 m

velocity after 10 s

v = 2.0(10) = 20 m/s

distance at constant speed

d = vt = 20(10) = 200 m

As the acceleration is the same magnitude while slowing down as speeding up, It will take the same distance to complete the deceleration 100 m

Total distance is 100 + 200 + 100 = 400 m

Pulsars are neutron stars that emit X rays and other radiation in such a way that we on Earth receive pulses of radiation from t
stira [4]

Answer:

(a) a_{c} = 5.41\times 10^{9} m/s^{2}

(b) a_{t} = 2.99\times 10^{- 5} m/s^{2}

Given:

Time period of Pulsar, T_{P} = 33.085 ms == 33.085\times 10^{- 3} s

Equatorial radius, R = 15 Km = 15000 m

Spinning time, t_{s} = 9.50\times 10^{10}

Solution:

(a) To calculate the value of the centripetal  acceleration, a_{c} on the surface of the equator, the force acting is given by the centripetal force:

m\times a_{c} = \frac{mv_{c}^{2}}{R}

a_{c} = \frac{v_{c}^{2}}{R}                (1)

where

v_{c} = \frac{distance covered(i.e., circumference)}{ T}

v_{c} = \frac{2\pi R}{Time period, T}           (2)

Now, from (1) and (2):

a_{c} = R\frac({2\pi )^{2}}{T^{2}}

a_{c} = 15000\frac{2\pi )^{2}}{(33.085\times 10^{- 3})^{2}}

a_{c} = 5.41\times 10^{9} m/s^{2}

(b) To calculate the tangential acceleration of the object :

The tangential acceleration of the object  will remain constant and is given by the equation of motion as:

v = u + a_{t}t_{s} = 0

where

u = v_{c}

a_{t} = - \frac{2\pi R}{Tt_{s}}

a_{t} = - \frac{2\pi 15000}{33.085\times 10^{- 3}\times 9.50\times 10^{10}}

a_{t} = 2.99\times 10^{- 5} m/s^{2}

Consider two parallel wires carrying current in the same direction. Which one of the following statements is true concerning thi
Sedbober [7]

Answer:A the two wire will attract each other

Explanation:

When current is flowing in a wire it is surrounded by magnetic field whose direction can be given by right hand thumb rule.

If current is in direction of your thumb then wrapping of fingers will give the direction of magnetic field.

If two wires with current in same direction flows then the combined  magnetic field will be constructive in nature and thus they attract each other.

force on second wire due to first wire is

F_{21}=I_2\vec{L_2}\times B_1 which will be towards the first wire

Jada was walking home for 30 mins. How fast was she walking, if her house is 4 km away fron school?
earnstyle [38]

Answer:

8 km an hour (about 5mph)

Explanation:

It depends on what you are looking for because there is no unit specified, but if you want kilometers an hour then all you have to do is multiply both sides by 2.

30 x 2 = 60 (minutes)

4 x 2 = 8 (kilometers)

Hope this helped at least a little bit!
