Answer: 3x + 15 = 51

x is the number of laps that she swims on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Since she swims the same amount, we can multiply x by three. Since Saturday gives us an explicit answer, we can just add that to the equation.

Hope this helps :)

KAJE PIERS' basketball court is rectangular with a length of 8x feet and a width of (x + 3) feet.
spayn [35]

The perimeter and area of the basketball court is 18x + 6 and 8x² + 24x respectively.

perimeter of a rectangle

 • Length = 8x
 • Width = (x + 3)

Perimeter of basketball court = 2(length + width)

= 2(8x + x + 3)

= 2(9x + 3)

= 18x + 6

Perimeter of basketball court = 18x + 6

Area of basketball court = length × width

= 8x × (x + 3)

= 8x² + 24x

Area of basketball court = 8x² + 24x

The probability that a radish seed will germinate is 0.7. a gardener plants seeds in batches of 11. find the standard deviation
den301095 [7]

To calculate for the standard deviation given the probability, we use the formula:

s = sqrt (n p q)

where s is standard deviation, n is number of samples = 11, p is probability of success = 0.7, q = 1 – p = 0.30

s = sqrt (11 * 0.7 * 0.3)

s = 1.52
