Answer: 3x + 15 = 51

x is the number of laps that she swims on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Since she swims the same amount, we can multiply x by three. Since Saturday  gives us an explicit answer, we can just add that to the equation.

Hope this helps :)

Choose the graph which matches the function. (2 points) <br> f(x) = 3x-1
ValentinkaMS [17]

Answer:

Observe the attached image

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that f(x) = 3^{x-1} is an exponential function, therefore its graph must have the form that corresponds to this type of functions.

The first thing to do is find the cut points of the function.

Cut point with the y axis:

x = 0\\\\y = 3^{0-1}\\\\y = 3^{-1}\\\\y = \frac{1}{3}

The function cuts the y-axis on y = \frac{1}{3}

Cutting point with the x axis:

y = 0\\\\0 = 3^{x-1}

To clear x we must apply log on both sides of the equality, but the log(0) is not defined. Then, the function does not cut to the x axis.

The graph that represents the function f(x) is the one that cuts in y = \frac{1}{3} and does not cut the x-axis

Find the length of a using the Pythagorean theorem
nekit [7.7K]

Answer:

a = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

a² + 9² = 15²

a² = 225 - 81

a² = 144

take the square root of both sides

a = 12

You want to create a piece of
emmainna [20.7K]

After six and half hours for studio A and after eight hours for studio B, the total costs of both studios will be the same.

<h3>What is Rate ?</h3>

Rate is a measure or quantity measured against another quantity or measure which is the ratio between two related quantities in different units

It is given that you want to create a piece of pottery at an art studio. The total cost is the cost of the piece plus an hourly studio fee. The costs at two studios are shown.

  • Studio A: $8 per hour.
  • Studio B: $6.50 per hour.

Multiply both together. That is,

8 x 6.5 = $52

The two cost will be the same at $52. By that time,

Studio A will be six and half hours.

Studio B will be eight hours.

Therefore, after six and half hours for studio A and after eight hours for studio B, the total costs of both studios will be the same.
