answer

( -2,4 )

  1. A rectangle is made of four sides with opposite sides of equal length. Using the y-coordinates of the first two points, the side is 5 - ( - 2 ) = + 7

units long in the x-direction

Using the x-coordinates of the last two points, the side is 4 -2 = + 2

units long in the y-direction.

Subtracting 7 units from the last point, the result

( 5 - 7 , 4 ) = ( -2,4 )

<h3><u>Given</u><u>:</u><u>-</u></h3>

  • Perimeter of parallelogram = 66 ft

  • One side,a = 3x + 1

  • Other side,b = 2x - 3

<h3><u>To</u><u> </u><u>find</u><u> </u><u>out</u><u>:</u><u>-</u></h3>

Find the longest side of a parallelogram.

<h3><u>Formula</u><u> </u><u>used</u><u>:</u><u>-</u></h3>

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2 ( a + b )

<h3><u>Solution:-</u><u> </u></h3>

We know that,

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2 ( a + b )

★ Substituting the values in the above formula,we get:

⇒ 66 = 2 ( 3x + 1 + 2x - 3 )

⇒ 66 = 2 ( 5x - 2 )

⇒ 66/2 = 5x - 2

⇒ 33 = 5x - 2

⇒ 5x - 2 = 33

⇒ 5x = 33 + 2

⇒ 5x = 35

⇒ x = 35/5

⇒ x = 7 ft

Now,

One side,a = 3x + 1

★ Putting the value of x

⇒ 3 × 7 + 1

⇒ 21 + 1

⇒ 22 ft

Other side,b = 2x - 3

★ Putting the value of x

⇒ 2 × 7 - 3

⇒ 14 - 3

⇒ 11 ft

Hence,the longest Side of given parallelogram is 22 ft ( 3x + 1 ) .

What is -6x+4=-50 and 5x+6=-44 also -3(7+6x)=-201 please solve these equations and show work
grandymaker [24]
Remember you can do anyting to an equation as long as ou do it to both sides

-6x+4=-50
minus 4 both sides
-6x=-54
divide both sides by -6
x=9

5x+6=-44
minus 6 both sides
5x=-50
divide both sides by 5
x=-10

-3(7+6x)=-201
normally you would distribute (that works) but it's easier to divide both sides by -3
7+6x=67
minus 7 both sides
6x=60
divide by 6 both sides
x=10

Use the following net to find the surface area of the solid figure it represents.
hodyreva [135]

Answer:

The solid formed is a cylinder

The total surface area is 131.88cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The given net is made up of a rectangle and two circles.

The total surface area is the area of the rectangle plus the area of the two circles.

This implies that:

S.A=75.36+2(28.26)

\implies S.A=75.36+56.52

\implies S.A=131.88cm^2

The rectangular surface can be folded into the curved surface of a cylinder with the two circles becoming the lid.
