What is a possible drawback to direct democracy? How might it be resolved?
AlladinOne [14]
Direct democracy would be extremely costly because people would have to vote on every single thing and this would cost time and money to ensure everyone has voted. It couldn't be resolved in early times, but maybe with the age of technology, you could surpass that by having everyone vote online or something similar.

How can the creation of a new empire impact of people and culture of a region
Ksju [112]
It can either bring people together into a new fused culture, or it can diffuse them. If various people exist of various cultures and a new empire rises then the leader has to accept all the people into his empire. This means that the cultures all exist and since they all have to behave according to what the emperor says, the cultures often mix and create somewhat of a mixed culture. If the empire separates people then it leads to diffusion because new aspects of cultures develop independently.
