Hi can someone pls help me with this!!!
Eva8 [605]

the domain is the x value (first number) and the range is the y value (second number)

(if a number appears more than once in the domain or range, like in number 1 you don't have to write it again.)

to graph the domain and range you just plot the points,

and to map them you have to put the x values in the first oval and the y values in the second, usually in order from smallest to largest.

then you have to draw arrows connecting each x value to the y value that was in the same pair. just like when writing down the domain/range, if a number comes up again you don't have to write it down again. instead, you might have two or more arrows connecting to the same  number.

Philip shoots an arrow from the top of a hill into the ground. the flight of the arrow can be modeled with the quadratic functio
Sati [7]

Answer:

(a)Time taken to reach the ground, x=6 seconds

(b)Maximum height of the arrow during its flight =101.25 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the quadratic function which models the flight of the arrow:

y=-5x^2+15x+90

Where:

  • y represents the vertical height of the arrow, in meters; and
  • x represents the time, in seconds.

(a)Positive Zero

-5x^2+15x+90=0\\-5(x^2-3x-18)=0\\-5(x^2-6x+3x-18)=0\\-5(x(x-6)+3(x-6))=0\\-5(x+3)(x-6)=0\\x+3=0\:or\:x-6=0\\x=-3,x=6

In 6 seconds, the arrow will hit the horizontal plane, i.e. the ground.

(b)

y=-5x^2+15x+90\\y-90=-5(x^2-3x)\\y-90-5(\frac{9}{4}) =-5(x^2-3x+(\frac{3}{2} )^2)\\y-101.25=-5(x-\frac{3}{2} )^2\\y=-5(x-\frac{3}{2} )^2+101.25

Comparing with the vertex form:

y=a(x-h)^2+k

Our vertex, (h,k)=(1.5, 101.25)

Maximum Value of y=101.25

The maximum value of y represents the maximum height of the arrow during its flight, which is 101.25 feet.

An insurance agent earns a base salary of $28,000, a commission of 2% of sales, and receives an additional fee of $9 for each sa
Murrr4er [49]

Answer:

$54 for fees

$1500 for commission

$29554 in total

Step-by-step explanation:

They will have $28000 regardless.

The commission is 2% so you multiply 0.02 (which is equivalent to 2%) to $75000, so he earns $1500. He sold 6 sales so he you multiply 6 by $9 and you get $54.

I don't know exactly what your asking but

$54 for fees

$1500 for commission

$29554 in total
