Memories are subjective, different people will remember a situation differently depending on the emotions they felt. When describing a certain situation the diction someone uses will likely convey the emotion that the person felt during the situation which is an example of tone. Despite the fact that multiple people could be describing the same situation, the emotions one person feels will likely not equate to the emotions of another.
