Answer:

1. Negative reinforcement.

2. Social learning.

3. Behavior modification.

4. Extinction.

5. Classical conditioning.

Explanation:

Operant conditioning can be defined as an associative learning process which involves reinforcing the strength of a behavior. Thus, the outcome depends on the response in operant conditioning.

A reinforcement of a desired behavior involves the process of strengthening a positive behavior being exhibited by an individual through the use of stimulus.

Behavior modification is a therapeutic process that is focused on changing any undesirable negative behavior in an individual through the use of positive or negative consequence and biofeedback.

Behavior modification is typically based on operant conditioning principles, through negative or positive reinforcement, undesirable behaviors developed by an individual are mainly replaced with more desirable ones.

1. Negative reinforcement: every time the new machine is turned on it beeps loudly until the operator runs a full safety check on it. After the safety check is complete, the beeping stops.

2. Social learning: after watching a coworker get in trouble for deviating from the call center script while handling a customer, you decide to always say exactly what the company wants you to when speaking with customers.

3. Behavior modification: one of your subordinates is very inconsiderate and often leaves his empty coffee cups around the office when he is done rather than throwing them out. You start paying attention to when he throws out his trash and comment on how much this is appreciated and keeps the office looking nice.

4. Extinction: your colleague likes to tell inappropriate jokes before meetings and this makes you and the rest of your team uncomfortable. You and your teammates start ignoring the comments instead of smiling politely when the jokes are told to help eliminate the behavior.

5. Classical conditioning: Every time the HR representative comes to work dressed in a suit, layoff notices seem to be distributed. You and your colleagues start worrying whenever you see the HR representative dressed up for work.

Classical conditioning can be defined as a learning process which involves repeatedly pairing two stimuli: conditioned stimulus and unconditioned stimulus. In classical conditioning, a response which is at first brought forth by the second stimulus is later brought forth by the first stimulus alone.

Basically, it is a process through which a living organism learns to associate stimuli and as a result anticipating events.

Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a method used by the software industry for designing, producing and reviewing applications of high quality. The SDLC strives to create a high-quality product that meets or exceeds customer requirements, completes in time and estimates of costs.

A life cycle of software development is close to that of a life cycle of a project.  In fact, in many situations, SDLC is considered to be a phased project model that matches the organizational business plan, personnel, policy, and budgeting constraints of a huge scale systems project.

A year ago, you invested $12,000 in an investment that produced a return of 16%. What is your approximate annual real rate of re
Natali [406]

The approximate annual real rate of return is 14%.

16% - 2% = 14%.

Rate of Return = [ (Current Value − Initial Value) ÷ Initial Value ] × 100. Let's say you own a stock that started at $100 and went up to $110. Now you want to find out the rate of return. In our example, the calculation would be [ ($110 – $100) ÷ $100] x 100 = 10.

“The real rate of return formula is the sum of one plus the nominal rate divided by the sum of one plus the rate of inflation, which is then subtracted once. The real rate of return formula can be used to determine the effective rate of return on an investment after adjusting for inflation.” Real returns = (1 + nominal rate/1 + inflation rate) – 1

Rate of return = ( (value of investment after one year - initial investment) / initial investment) x 100 percent. Analyze your investment to obtain the values necessary to calculate its initial rate of return. For example, consider a $25,000 investment that grows to $28,500 after one year.

The Baldwin company will sell 100 units (x1000) of capacity from their Bid product line. Each unit of capacity is worth $6 plus
tankabanditka [31]

Answer:

correct option is C. $2,210,000

Explanation:

given data

sell units  = 100 units (× 1000) = 100000 units

capacity worth  =  $6 + $4 per automation rating

sell capacity is = 35%

Automation rating = 7.0

to find out

How much do they receive when the capacity is sold

solution

first we get here first Cost per unit that is

Cost per unit = $6 + $4 per automation rating    ...................1

Cost per unit = $6 + $4 × 7

Cost per unit = $34

and capacity worth will be here as

capacity worth = Cost per unit × sell units   ...................2

put here value we get

capacity worth = $34 ×  100000

capacity worth = $3,400,000

so that here Amount received will be as

Amount received =  capacity worth × ( 1 - sell capacity )    .................3

put here value we get

Amount received =  $3400000 × ( 1 - 35% )

so they receive when the capacity is sold =   $2,210,000

so correct option is C. $2,210,000

2. <span> In order to decrease the likelihood of type I error, the researcher could  reduce her probability (alpha) leve to .01 or even .001.
Other method that she could do even though it's not popular is reducing her sample size.
