Discuss the responsibility of Germany and Austria-Hungary in WW1

Germany and Austria-Hungary were allies during WW1. The war was provoked by the assassination of Franz Ferdinand. It was rumored that a Serbian assassinated Ferdinand, therefore Austria declared war on Serbia. I believe Germany declared war on Russia and asked for austria-hungary for help and in return they would help them conquer Serbia or something like that.
