The Aztec Empire was a confederation of areas connected by a feudal allegiance method. This is a method in which a central leader governed an empire expanded through armed conquest. The people of the Aztec were involved in the trade of commodities such as gold, copper and jade in exchange for vanilla, chocolate and rubber. These people actively traded human excretion as fertilizer. Human excretion was the only item that was sold in the markets of Aztec and not in the European or Asian markets.
