According to some scientists, which is a cause of global warming?
insens350 [35]

Answer:

Changes in solar energy

Explanation:

When released into the atmosphere, certain gases act like a blanket, preventing heat from escaping. One of the most important heat-trapping gases is carbon dioxide (CO2), which is released when we burn fossil fuels like oil, coal, and natural gas.

Once released, carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere for roughly 40 years, though its effects stay much longer; other gases, like methane, are even longer-lived. The cumulative effect is to raise the planet’s temperature.

Which explains how the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California cause the southwestern United States to have a desert climate?
lesantik [10]
No, the answer is C. If it was A and the air cools, then why are deserts hot? The answer is C because as air rises it heats up and lose a its moisture through evaporation, leaving hot dry air for the deserts. This is called the rain shadow effect, where one side of the mountain is moist and cool and the other side is a desert.

How does coral ecosystem suffering from physical damage affect the ecosystem?
LekaFEV [45]

Answer:

Aquatic animals and organisms thrive in coral reef habitats/ecosystems. The biodiversity of different organisms (like fish) are abundant because of the habitats (like anemone), algae, and phytoplankton that live off the area. The destruction of the coral reef by polution can cause a disturbance in the balance of life. For example, the bacteria and algae (autotrophs) that live off the sides of pieces of coral would die off causing the fish and other things that way them to die off and then the fish that consume those animals would die off.

In shorter terms: the physical damage would throw off the balance of the food web/food chain and would destroy habitats of thousands of organisms causing them to die off.

Hope this helps! :D
