The social networks have influenced negatively the school performance of the teenagers for the last ten years. According to researches, the average grades of teenagers that spend more than ten hour per day on line have decreased exponentially. School principals, teachers and parents are trying to find the way to balance the time a teenage spends connected with their friends or other people, with the time they need to dedicate to do their chores and homework.  Parents play a very important role on this, because in more than a 90 /100 of the cases, they are the ones who provide computers, smartphones and  access to internet, and in many cases, they are the ones who actually register social network accounts to their children. only the joint work teachers-parents will manage to change the current reality.
