Answer:

discount percent = 25%

Step-by-step explanation:

Mia bought a poster that was discounted $5 from an original price of $20

Original price is $20

Discount amount is $5

Let x be the percentage of discount

Discount % is x%

original price times discount percentage is equal to discount amount

20 \cdot \frac{x}{100} = 5

multiply both times by 100

20x= 500

Divide both sides by 20

x= 25%

So discount percent = 25%

consider an infinite set of pairwise independent random variables which are uniformly distributed between 0 and 1. what's the ex
r-ruslan [8.4K]

When two random variables X and Y are considered to be independent, it means that neither X's distribution nor Y's values have any bearing on the other.

What do you mean by independent random variable?

A random variable is a variable used in an experiment, such as the number of coin tosses or card draws. An independent random variable is a random variable in your experiment that doesn't affect the other random variables. In other words, it has no impact on the likelihood that another event will occur. For illustration, suppose you randomly selected 50 bags of sugar from various grocery stores in order to determine the average weight of a bag of sugar. The factors are independent since you wouldn't anticipate the weight of one bag having an impact on another. A dependent random variable, on the other hand, does have an impact on the probability of other random variables.

How can you use a quick picture to find 3x2.7
NeTakaya
If you mean like a method to solve it fast here I have 1 solution I usually use;

3x2.7
3x.7=2.1
3x2=6
Then in the question there is 1 number behind the decimal point so the answer should have 1 number behind as well.
=8.1
