X = egg mcmuffin
y = hash brown

Randy:     2x + y = 750 <=> 2x + 450 - x = 750 <=> x = 300
Jack:         x + y = 450 <=> y = 450 - x <=> y = 450 - 300 <=> y = 150

1 egg mcmuffin has 300 calories
1 hash brown has 150 calories

Use algebra/simultaneous equations for the easy way. Let's call Egg McMuffins 'e' and Hash Browns 'h'.
So 2e + h = 750
And e + h = 450
Subtract the bottom equation from the top one
e = 300
Substitute e back in to the bottom equation (Because it's simpler)
300 + h = 450
Simplify the equation, subtract 300 from each side
h = 150

So there you go. Egg McMuffins have 300 calories and Hash Browns have 150 calories

4x-y=2 2x+9y=-12 unsure how to solve
Anna11 [10]
Simple, use the process of elimination to figure this out:

4x-y=2
2x+9y=-12

Convert these, to be able to find either x or y.

2(4x-y=2)   8x-2y=4   multiply by 2.
then
4(2x+9y=-12)  8x+36y=-48

Which makes them

8x-2y=4
-
8x+36y=-48

-38y=52

This simplified makes it y= -26/19.

Then plug y back into the original equation

4x-y=2

4x-(-26/19)=2

Making it x= 3/19.

Thus your Point of Intersection is at (3/19, -26/19)

Elden [556K]

Answer: Choice C.  an = 8 + 9(n-1)

===========================================

Work Shown:

a1 = 8 is the first term

a7 = 62 is the seventh term

an = a1+d(n-1) = nth term of arithmetic sequence

a7 = a1+d(7-1) ... plug in n = 7; solve for d

62 = 8+d(6)

62 = 6d+8

6d+8 = 62

6d = 62-8

6d = 54

d = 54/6

d = 9 is the common difference

an = a1 + d(n-1)

an = 8 + 9(n-1) is the nth term of this arithmetic sequence

Find the perimeter of a square whose area is 168cm square
Elis [28]

Answer:

51.84 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution,

We have,

Area of the square= L²

According to question,

168 cm²= L²

√168 cm²= L²

√(12.96 cm)² = L

12.96 cm= L

Now,

We got,

Length of the square= 12.96 cm

By using the formula of perimeter of square,

We have,

Perimeter of square= 4L

=4×12.96 cm

=51.84 cm

Hence, the perimeter of square is 51.84 cm.
