Answer: The correct answer is macrophages

Explanation:

Macrophages are examples of phagocytes, and they engulfs pathogens (disease-causing organisms such as viruses, bacteria) by pulling them into their vacuoles and digesting them completely.

Macrophages, and Other like T-cells, B lymphocytes and natural killer cells all help in the BODY DEFENCE. But unlike macrophage, others exert their function through a different mechanism.

ira [324]

Lymph traveling from the left arm would enter the venous circulation via the thoracic duct.

What is thoracic duct?

 • The largest lymphatic channel in the body's lymphatic system is the thoracic duct, commonly known as van Hoorne's canal.
 • Adults have an average length of 40 cm, and their abdominal origin is about 5 mm wide.
 • The thoracic duct runs from the root of the neck to the twelfth thoracic vertebra.
 • The thoracic duct enters the posterior mediastinum, remaining to the right of the vertebral column, by ascending via the diaphragm's aortic hiatus.
 • At the T7 vertebral level, it runs posterior to the esophagus before crossing over to the left side of the thorax at the T5 vertebral level.
 • The primary lymphatic channel for the return of chyle/lymph to the systemic venous system is the thoracic duct.
 • It drains lymph from the left side of the face and neck, left hemithorax, left upper limb, and both lower limbs.

when algae lives on a slth it is consirered a mutual symbiotic relationship. why is this an exampkle of mutualism
d1i1m1o1n [39]

Algae living on a sloth is considered an example of mutualism because both of them benefit from each other.

Mutualism is one of the symbiotic relationships in which both the two species living together benefit in one way or another. A considerable example of such a relationship is between algae and a sloth.

The algae provide camouflage to the sloth and protect it from predators while the sloth provides shelter to the algae for its growth. The sloth also gets nutrition from algae which perform photosynthesis and synthesize food.

Another mutual relationship is observed between the aphids and ants. Aphids produce honeydew as a waste product of their diet which is consumed by ants. While ants protect the aphids from predators and parasites.
