Oints Q and R are midpoints of the sides of triangle ABC.
MariettaO [177]

Answer:

AQ = 20 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Comparing triangle AQR to ABC,

\frac{AQ}{AB} = \frac{QR}{BC}

\frac{4p}{8p} = \frac{2p + 3}{6p-4}

cross multiply and make p the subject of formula, we have:

8p (2p+3) = 4p(6p-4)

16p^{2} + 24p = 24p^{2} - 16p

24p + 16p = 24p^{2} - 16p^{2}

40p = 8p^{2}

divide through by 8p,

p = 5

Therefore, AQ = 4p

                        = 4 × 5

                        = 20

AQ = 20 units

Find the perimeter of a triangle with sides 15 inches, 15 inches, and 21 inches length.
Degger [83]

find the perimeter of a triangle with sides 15 inches, 15 inches, and 21 inches length

To find the perimeter of a triangle we add all the sides of the triangle

The length of the sides of the triangle are given as 15 inches, 15 inches, and 21 inches

Perimeter of a triangle =

15 inches + 15 inches +   21 inches = 51 inches

So 51 inches is the perimeter

Wegnerkolmp or someone who can explain maths please<br> I need a proper explanation
umka2103 [35]

Answer: 66 degrees

Explanation:

Check out the attached image below. Figure 1 is the original image without any additions or alterations. Then in figure 2, I extend segment BC to form a line going infinitely in both directions. This line crosses segment DE at point F as shown in the second figure.

Note how angles ABC and DFC are alternate interior angles. Because AB is parallel to DE (given by the arrow markers) this means angle DFC is also 24 degrees

Focus on triangle DFC. This is a right triangle. The 90 degree angle is at C.

So we know that the acute angles x and 24 are complementary. They add to 90. Solve for x

x+24 = 90

x+24-24 = 90-24

x = 66

That is why angle CDE is 66 degrees

Can someone please help me on this question? This question has 2 answer choices. Thank you.

Hello!

To solve this you have to find the ratio between the two cylinders

Cylinder 1 height is 30
Cylinder 2 height is 20

this is a 30:20 ratio

This can be reduced to a 3:2 ratio

Now you look for one that are also equal to 3:2

3 * 7 = 21
2 * 7 = 14

The answers are 3:2 and 21:14

Hope this helps!
