Explanation:

Pre-literate societies refers to the societies that haven't understand the concept of writing.

To analyze this societies, Anthropologies can only rely on physicals objects, local folklores, and architectural designs. From those, they tried to interpret how the societies operate, the social structure, and the cause of its downfall.

The interpretation of anthropologists under this circumstances could be extremely inaccurate and unreliable compared to analyzing societies that had a written record.
