Does separation implies inferiority?!
seraphim [82]
In a sense, yes.

Seperation, however it is used (even seperate but equal), implies that the group that created this law wishes that it is a more superior group, and that those who are more affected by the law are inferior. However, there are certain cases that separation does not mean inferiority, but in most cases (especially one's that affect the public & is part of history), yes it does.

If you were president Truman would you have dropped nuclear weapons on the Chinese like general MacArthur wanted?
Dahasolnce [82]

Answer: No

Explanation:

The world was simply not ready for another nuclear strike at the time and especially not against a country like China. China had just become a communist country and had the support of the Soviet Union. Any nuclear attacks on China might have led to all out war with the Chinese and the Soviets which would have definitely involved nuclear weapons.

Also worthy of note was that the Chinese had practiced restraint in the Korean war. They did not use heavy machinery and were content to limit their attacks on the UN forces after some time which showed that they too did not want to escalate the conflict. A diplomatic solution was therefore the best option and what I would have sought, much like Truman did.

Why did it take the states so long to ratify the Articles of Confederation
Marizza181 [45]
The reason why it takes a long time to ratify the Articles of Confederation is that U.S. just declared independent from Britain, in other words, they just passed the Declaration of Independence, and in order to keep a country on track, they need some sorts of form of government, and they don't want to repeating the history, or have another tyrant, or a king, to rule over them again, which is a part of reason why they declared independent (the actual reasons is the king taxes us for no reason and we can't participate in the government), so they need all of the 13 states to approve, or sign, the Articles of Confederation, majority of them signed it, some of them having issues about the rights in the Articles of Confederation, so someone, I forgot his name, promised to includes all of the rights into the Articles of Confederation, which they can't do it instantly, which later known as the Bill of Rights (the first 10 amendments), so it takes longer to get the whole Articles of Confederation to be approved, or ratified.

Hope this help, my English is not that well so please excuse for it.
