You would use a high shutter speed for a fast moving shot or one that’s in motion, like a moving car or flowing stream. High shutter speeds are used to achieve crisp, sharp photos of a moving object that is frozen in action. The higher the shutter speed the shaper the image will be. You would use a low shutter speed for low light environments or motion blur photography. The lower your shutter speed the more light will be exposed to the picture.
