  1. Multiplty both sides by 11. 11 times 11 cancels out, 11 times -3 equals -33. You should get 10ac - x = -33
  2. Add  x  to both sides:   10 a c = x − 33
  3. Divide both sides by  10 c :   a = x − 33 /10c
