The Treaty was an alliance between two empires over resolving the issue on occupying land discovered during the 15th century. The result of this treaty was the introduction of colonization in New World along with plantations, especially sugar. Missions were built where the Native American were converted into Catholic. Jesuit Catholic priest came to help the natives saving their soul.
