Answer:

75% chance of purple, 25% of white

Explanation:

Heterozygous means having two different alleles of a gene

This must mean they are Purple dominant and white recessive

This will be represented as Pw

\left[\begin{array}{ccc} &P&w\\P&PP&Pw\\w&Pw&ww\end{array}\right]

This, called a punnet square, calculates the probability of the gene outcome. The top Pw represents one parent and the Pw on the left side represent the other.

In the diagram, each combo of letters ( PP, Pw, Pw, ww ) represents a 25% of what gene the offspring will have. PP means it'll be purple, and so does both Pw's. ww means white flowers though because there is no dominant trait and only recessive. This is the only way for a recessive trait to appear in a child.

Therefore there is a 75% chance of the offspring having purple flowers and a 25% chance of the offspring have white flowers.

What are the disadvantages of polygamous in animals
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:

The principal disadvantage of monogamy is a lack of variety. Monogamy has the potential to lead to routine, and possibly boredom. People often equate excitement in a relationship with the ability to be with a number of individuals, potentially as part of an open or sometimes polyamorous relationship.

What is the purpose of redox reactions in the cell?
Phoenix [80]

Answer:

To discharge energy gradually in a step-by-step process.

Explanation:

The process of cellular respiration comprises various reactions in which electrons are transferred or mediated from one molecule to another. The reactions taking part in electron transfers are called redox reactions or oxidation-reduction reactions.

With the movement of electrons the energy is released that can be captivated and is used to do work. In cellular respiration, the electrons from glucose move slowly via the electron transport chain ultimately towards oxygen that is, transferring towards lower and lower energy states and discharging energy at each stage.
