Answer:

Your answer is, BELOW

God's ten commandments are your orders and advice at the same time. God gave them to his people who were on their way to a free life in the Promised Land (Canaan). Keeping the commandments would preserve you from the danger of not falling into slavery again. This Law of new life was given through Moses, on Mount Sinai (Deut 31: 9-24). It was transmitted to us in the Book of Exodus (Ex 20: 17-17) and in the Book of Deuteronomy (Dt 5,6-22). The commandments were not thought of by God as a heavy yoke to limit man's freedom and happiness. On the contrary, they are the safe path to happiness and human fulfillment (Deut 30.16; Mt 5.17; 19.16-19; 22.37-40; J 12.50).

The Decalogue forms an inseparable unit. To transgress one of the commandments is to infringe all the others (Jas 2: 10-11). They are all immutable and their obligation is always and everywhere. No one can get rid of them. The transgression of any of the commandments, being disobedience explicit to God, is considered a serious sin, which breaks the communion with God.

The whole Old Testament Law Jesus summed up in just two commandments, that is, in a Great Commandment of Love: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength and with all your understanding; and you will love your neighbor as yourself ”.

How did white power structures react to the Civil Rights movement in the 1950s?
shepuryov [24]

Answer:

Generally, white power structures responded to the Civil Rights Movement based on their geographic location. Thus, most southerners spoke out against this movement, while most northerners supported the cause. This situation was even transversal to the Democratic and Republican parties, since for example Lyndon Johnson, Democratic President who approved the Civil Rights Act in 1964, supported the movement while Orval Faubus, Governor of Arkansas for the same party, did not do so in absolute.

In general, the governors and mayors of the south of the country did everything possible to prevent the advancement and achievements of this movement, through imprisonment (such as in Birmingham, where Martin Luther King was imprisoned), police repression and various government restrictions.

In contrast, northern politicians and those in Washington generally had a more open and responsive stance, supporting the movement and believing in equal opportunities.

Sever21 [200]

Answer:

C. Congress can negotiate treaties

Explanation:

A treaty is a form of formal agreement between countries.

The US foreign policies are always brought up by the President which are then passed to the Congress and reviewed for further actions. The Congress ensures the policies such as treaties are in the best interest of the nation and then a vote is taken. The treaty is then passed if the two thirds of the Congress vote in support of the treaty.
