A spinner is divided into many sections of equal size. Some sections are red, some are blue, and the remaining are green. The pr

obability of the arrow landing on a section colored red is 12/20. The probability of the arrow landing on a section colored blue is 6/20. What is the probability of the arrow landing on a green-colored section?

Answer:

2/20

Step-by-step explanation:

12 + 6 is 18 so then your remaining would be 2 so your answer should be 2/20!

Answer:

\frac{2}{20}

Step-by-step explanation:

We have 3 sections.

  1. \frac{12}{20}
  2. \frac{6}{20}
  3. \frac{x}{20}

Since we only have 3 sections, we can add red and blue, and subtract  \frac{20}{20}

\frac{12}{20} + \frac{6}{20} = \frac{18}{20}

Subtract:

\frac{20}{20}-\frac{18}{20}  = \frac{2}{20}

The given two-way table shows the number of passengers, by type, on the Ferris wheel at an amusement part for its first two runs
zzz [600]

The two-way table is an illustration of probability, and the value of P(Adult|Second run) is 0.600

<h3>How to determine the probability?</h3>

The probability to calculate is given as: P(Adult|Second run)

This means:

The probability that an Adult is selected given that the adult runs the second run

The formula to solve this is:

P(Adult|Second run) = n(Adult and Second run)/n(Second run)

From the table, we have:

n(Adult and Second run) = 219

n(Second run) = 365

So, we have:

P(Adult|Second run) = 219/365

Evaluate

P(Adult|Second run) = 0.600

Hence, the value of P(Adult|Second run) is 0.600

In ∆ABC, AC = 15 centimeters, m B = 68°, and m C = 24°. What is BC to two decimal places?
PSYCHO15rus [73]
I dont know which math you are in but you can use the law of sins. (A/sin(a))=(B/sin(b)) where the capital letters are the sides (in this case you would put AC or whatever side length it is) and the lower case letters are the measures on the angles.
that may have been confusing but look up the laws of sines and cosine because you'll need to learn them and it's very helpful.
15/sin68 = x/sin88      x is the side BC and to get angle A, do 180-68-24
so x= sin88 (15/sin68)
so the answer to this question would be 16.17 cm
