Hasty generalization is a logical fallacy that sees people jump to a larger conclusion based on an event that happened to a small sample of the population or too few times for it to be considered evidence enough for a wider conclusion to be made.
The State Congresswoman voted against tax increases just this one time to the best of our knowledge. Predicting that she will always vote against this is a hasty generalization because it happened too few times to decide that this is her permanent stance.
