Answer: The valves prevent the backward flow of blood. These valves are actual flaps that are located on each end of the two ventricles (lower chambers of the heart). They act as one-way inlets of blood on one side of a ventricle and one-way outlets of blood on the other side of a ventricle.

Suggest one advantage and one disadvantage of<br>using a dichotomous key to identify something.
prisoha [69]
Advantage: Dichotomous keys are very useful because they allow non-expert users to identify organisms by directing them to look at the known, important organisms. Disadvantage: Disadvantage of dichotomous keys is that if a single wrong decision is made at any juncture, a wrong identification will result. Sometimes it becomes obvious that an error has been made, and you can retrace your steps until you get back on the right track, but this is not always the case

Which phrase best describes the property of selective permeability?
belka [17]

Answer:

some molecules pass

Explanation:

The ability of a membrane to pass or not to pass a substance is its permeability (permeability).

Permeability is, in fact, the ease with which a dissolved particle passes through the membrane, which depends on both the properties of the particles and the properties of the membrane itself.

The membrane is semipermeable (semipermeable) or selectively permeable because it does not permeate all molecules.
