1. I'm pretty sure one of them is membrane
2. A cell can die through infection, poisoning, overheating, or even lack of oxygen.
3. I think it depends on how fragile the membrane of the cell is.

Blood is made up of red and white blood cells, platelets and plasma. The plasma consists of water (mostly) and dissolved nutrients. When blood is exposed to air, the blood will clot, due to aggravation of the platelets. Then you get a forming scab that will help heal the part that the blood is being exposed from.
The carnivore population would also increase because there would be a
larger food-source for carnivorous so more of them would be able to
survive.
The carnivore population would go up as well because they have more food
(herbivores) to eat. There would be more food to sustain the carnivore
population.
