Excerpt from A Baker's Dozen, Based on the first paragraph of the passage, what inference can you make about the speaker? A) The
seraphim [82]

Answer:

C: The speaker is intelegent and clever, but did not excel in high school.

Explanation:

This is because the entire time the writer talks about not being a loser and not doing well in highschool thus eliminating D along with B because he doesn't say much about his stepfather. It also can't be A because there was no evidence of the writer being lazy.

Has anyone read Romeo and Juliet?
Vaselesa [24]
Some ideas for this could be: Romeo and Paris have similar wealth and social status, different ages of the two of them, Romeo changes his love interests but Paris focuses solely on Juliet through the entire work, and along those lines, Romeo is emotionally unstable whereas Paris is relatively confident. Good luck!

Alvarez shows that refusing to obey Trujillo's requests could be dangerous.

Answer: Option C.

Explanation:

The excerpt from "A genetics of Justice" by Julia Alvarez showed that if she did not obey to the rules and did not listen to what Trujillo said, it would not be good for her. She would not be able to do anything and would not be able to get her cedula stamped.

This could cost her, her dream of leaving the country and going abroad to study for the heart surgery. Because she would not be able to obtain her passport because of which she would not be able to go abroad. So it was very important for her to listen to Trujillo.
