Answer:

23/45

Step-by-step explanation:

4  \frac{1}{9}  - 3  \frac{3}{5}

First turn them into improper fractions

(Whole number × denominator = ANS + Numberator = ANS Numberator) The number for denominator will remain the same.

\frac{37}{9}  -  \frac{18}{5}

in order to take away, the denominators need to be the the same. whatever you do to the bottom, you would do to the top.

9 x 5 = 45 5 x 9 = 45

37 x 5 = 185. 18 x 9 = 162

\frac{185}{45}  -  \frac{162}{45}

The demoninators now doesn't need to change. Take away the numerators.

185-162=23

\frac{23}{45}

Madelyn is in a hot air balloon that has just taken off and is floating above its launching point. Eddie is standing on the grou
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

8.9 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

this seems like a problem where you can use the pythagorean theorem:

you know one of the two legs (6m) and  the hypotenuse (9m), you must find the other leg

a^2 + 6^2 = 9^2

a^2 + 36 = 81

a^2 = 45

a = \sqrt{45} or \sqrt{9} · \sqrt{5} which simplifies to be 3\sqrt{5} or approx. 8.9 meters

Find in the triangle. Round to the nearest degree.<br> a.<br> 45°<br> C. 60°<br> b. 59°<br> d. 42°
aleksklad [387]

Answer:

Theta = 59 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we want to get the value of the marked angle

To do this, we use the appropriate trigonometric ratio

From what we have,

The side 42 ft is adjacent the angle given

The side facing the right angle is 82 ft

The trigonometric ratio that connects the adjacent and the hypotenuse is cosine. It is the ratio of the adjacent to the hypotenuse

Cos theta = 42/82

theta = cos^-1 0.5122

theta= 59.189

To the nearest degrees, this is 59 degrees

The graph shows that is translated horizontally and vertically to create the function .
yarga [219]

According to the function transformations, the value of h is -2

<h3>How to determine the value of h?</h3>

The complete question is in the attachment

The functions are given as:

f(x) = (2.5)^x

g(x) = (2.5)^{x-h

From the question, we understand that the function f(x) is translated to the left to get g(x)

From the attached graph, we can see that the function h(x) is 2 units to the left of f(x).

This transformation is represented by:

(x, y) => (x + 2, y)

So, we have:

x - h = x + 2

Evaluate the like terms

h = -2

Hence, the value of h is -2
