The correct answer is C) a strike in the lumber industry that threatened the production of spruce.

The reason that led to the creation of the Royal Legion of Lumbermen and Loggers was a strike in the lumber industry that threatened the production of spruce.

The Royal Legion of Lumbermen and Loggers (LLLL) was founded in 1917, during World War 1. It was led by Bryce P. Disque. In those years, the Army suffered from a necessity of more supplies for the war effort. The Army needed the production of spur because the wooden was very resistant to build planes and vehicles. This mostly due to a lumberjack strike in the Pacific Coast. Dique had to travel to Seattle, Washington to see what was happening with the operation of lumberjacks.
