pH is a scale used to specify how acidic or basic a

water based solution is.It gives the acidic or basic value from 0 to 14.If the pH value of any solution is below 7, then it is of acidic nature and if the pH value of any solution is above 7, then it is basic in nature.

T pH value of water is exactly 7 at room temperature and hence it is nutral( neither acidic nor basic) in nature.

And also pH stands for "pouvoir hydrogene".

Which term would describe bacteria that cannot synthesize their own food energy?
zalisa [80]
A very useful term to describe Bacteria that can't synthesize their own food energy is called a Heterotroph. A Heterotroph relies on other organisms for nutrition, whether plant or animals. There are two types of Heterotrophs: Photoheterotroph and Chemoheterotroph. Photoheterotrophs use light for energy, but can't use carbon dioxide as their carbon source. They get their carbon from compounds such as carbohydrates, fatty acids, and alcohol. Chemoheterotrophs get thteir energy by oxidation of preformed organic compounds such as animals, fungi, bacteria and almost all pathogens.

Sever21 [200]

Answer:

Question 1 - c. vv

Question 2 - b. Any of the non-sex chromosomes

Question 3 - b. Eukaryotic

Explanation:

Question 1

As explained, the gene for normal wings (V) is a dominant gene while the gene for the vestigial wings (v) is recessive. Dominant genes overpower any recessive genes.

VV - Two dominant genes will produce the dominant trait

Vv - The dominant gene (V) overpowers the recessive gene (v) and produced the dominant trait.

This means that the only way to have a fly with vestigial wings is if the fly has 2 recessive genes. This means that our answer is c. vv

Question 2

An autosome is defined as any of the non-sex chromosomes.

Question 3

Linear chromosomes are a type of chromosome most often found in eukaryotic cells. On the other hand, prokaryotic cells usually have circular chromosomes. This means that our answer is b. eukaryotic
