Seeing as you’re writing this letter to a friend, one would assume that said letter wouldn’t be too formal. Think of your own experiences in school. What are some things that have upset you, and how would you write it to a friend? Dress code, homework, mean teachers, any and all things work. Can video games be addictive? A recent study by Iowa State University concluded that 1 in 12 American children between the ages of 8 and 18 are addicted to video games. This figures show “gaming” as an addictive pathology, the same way that people are addicted to drugs or gambling. "Pathological gamers" spend more than 24 hours a week playing video games, which is twice the amount of time spent by most players. Researchers are concerned that the United Sates may be following in the footsteps of South Korea. South Korea has more than one hundred clinics to treat video-game addiction. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no more than two hours a day of "screen time." this includes television, movies and the internet.
