15/8 liters of syrup is 3 bottles
1 and 1/8 is 9/18
15/8-9/18=6/8, to simplify it would be 3/4 liter

The answer is 3/4 liters of syrup. The description of work is below.

So, Kayla has 3 bottles of 5/8 liter of syrup which would equal 1 7/8liters in total. You would multiply 5/8 x 3= 1 7/8.

I find it easier to convert fractions into decimals. So 5/8 = 0.625 liters.

0.625 x 3= 1.875 (converted to fraction is 1 7/8).

1 1/8 converted to a decimal = 1.125.

No we have our conversions to make subtraction easier.

She has a total of 1.875 liters of syrup and her guests used 1.125 liters.

We will subtract 1.875 by 1.125.

1.875-1.125= 0.75

We will convert this back to a fraction. 0.75 as a fraction is 3/4.

Therefore, Kayla now has 3/4 liters of syrup.

How to convert a fraction into a decimal:

We're going to try and find a number we can multiple the denominator by to equal a multiple of 10.

5/8

To equal 100 by 8 we would divide 100 / 8 = 12.5

Next, we will multiple 12.5 by the numerator (5)

5 x 12.5 = 62.5.

The new fraction will be 62.5 / (over) 100

We will use the top number to be our decimal and move the decimal point two places to the left. = 0.625.

To convert the mixed fraction of 1 1/8 it's pretty much the same as the previous way but you just put the 1 in FRONT of the decimal. I'll explain:

We will find the number to multiply by to make 100 for the denominator. Which is easy in this one because the previous was also 8. So we already know it will be 12.5.

Therefore, we will multiple 12.5 by the numerator of this mixed fraction which is 1.

12.5 x 1 = 12.5

We will move the decimal two places to the left to make it 0.125

NOW, we just add the whole number to the left of the decimal which would be

1+ 0.125 = 1.125.

To go back from decimal form to a fraction you'll do this:

We will always write it as a fraction and the denominator is 1. So in this one it would be (for the 5/8th decimal of 0.625) 0.625 (over) / 1.

Secondly, multiple the numerator and denominator by a 10 for EACH NUMBER BEHIND the decimal. So there is 3 numbers so you'll multiply by 1,000.

We're going to end up with a big number, don't be scared.

So, 0.625 x 1,000 = 625

1 x 1,000 = 1,000.

Our new fraction is 625 (over) / 1,000

Now you will simplify your fraction

25 will go into both 625 and 1,000 as whole numbers

Divide 625 / 25 = 25

1,000 / 25 = 40

New fraction is 25 (over) /40

We can still simply it down further.

5 can go evenly into 25 and 40 so we will divide 5 by 25 and 40

25 / 5 = 5

40 / 5 = 8

Our simplified fraction is 5/8!

I hope I didn't overwhelm you.

What is the ratio of the calories Robyn
Elina [12.6K]

Question isn't complete but we make assumptions in order to complete the question and explain

Answer and explanation:

If we are given a table on calories burned by Robyn on weekdays from Monday to Friday and on this table Robyn burnt 500 calories on Monday and burnt 400 calories on Wednesday, then we are required to determine the ratio of calories burnt on Wednesday to calories burnt on Monday:

Calories burnt on Wednesday = 400

Calories burnt on Monday =500

Ratio of calories burnt on Wednesday to calories burnt on Monday =400/500=4/5

Ratio =4:5

cluponka [151]

Answer:

C. The domain is (-1,+∞), and the range is all real numbers.
