It is given in the question that

A moving company charges $800 plus $16 per hour. Another moving company charges $720 plus $21 per hour.

And let the number of hours be h hours.

So for the two companies, the equation of the cost are

C = 16h + 800, C = 21h +720

According to question

16h +800=21h +720
\\
800-720=21h -16h
\\
80 = 5h
\\
h=16 hours

ladessa [460]

Answer:

b

Step-by-step explanation:

Answer: option (b)

1 billion = 1, 000, 000, 000

In scientific notation, a number is rewritten as a simple decimal multiplied by 10 raised to some power n.

10 =101

100= 102

1, 000 = 103

1, 0000 = 104.

..............

Therfore 1 billion can be written as

1 billion =1, 000, 000, 000=10^{9}

Then 1.5 billion =  1.54 10^{9}

Hence option (b) is the correct answer

lapo4ka [179]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

y = total cost of gas

x = gallons of gas

(a)

y = 1.60x

(b)

y = 1.60x

32.00 = 1.60x

32.00 / 1.60 =  1.60x / 1.60

32.00 / 1.60 =  x

20 = x

x = 20

Trevor bought 20 gallons of gas.
