Why does so much comedy focus on sadness, imperfection and misfortune? Why do people need to laugh at these things?
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

answer:

because dramatic comedy shows that even in a broken world with imperfect characters, it is still possible to find the joy of living.

explanation:

I belive comedy is a way to express realism. In the romantic age, people would write their characters as perfect versions of humans, having them speak eloquently and with great education. Their lives would be perfect and the story was always very simplistic: protagonist fights evil, wins, and they all live happily ever after. The age of realism, though, is quite the opposite. in this age, people focus not on the "perfect" character or world, but rather the flaws, changing emotions, and relatable problems that the characters suffer from. this caused the audience to have an intamte connection to the characters and the story. However, the comedy part is also in these stories. I believe it shows how, even in a broken world, there is still joy. in the end the protaginist dosn't live a perfect life, but instead learns to see the joy of living; even in the inperfect. hope this helps. some examples you can use for dramatic comedy are shakesphere, Longfello, or even the guy who made "the boy who would be king." the best is the Divine Comedy. or Tolkien.  as for romantic styles, try beowulf. also ya i know my grammer sucks i dont have time to fix it XD

anygoal [31]

Answer:

1. an elaborate musical composition for full orchestra, typically in four movements, at least one of which is traditionally in sonata form.

2. a composition for an instrumental soloist, often with a piano accompaniment, typically in several movements with one or more in sonata form.

3. the concluding passage of a piece or movement, typically forming an addition to the basic structure.

4. exposition, development, and recapitulation

4a. exposition- the initial presentation of the thematic material of a musical composition, movement, or section. The use of the term generally implies that the material will be developed or varied.

4b. development- musical development is a process by which a musical idea is communicated in the course of a composition. ... In sonata form, the middle section (between the exposition and the recapitulation) is called the development. Typically, in this section, material from the exposition section is developed.

4c. he recapitulation is one of the sections of a movement written in sonata form. The recapitulation occurs after the movement's development section, and typically presents once more the musical themes from the movement's exposition.
