Notebooks are 10$ pencils are 6 markers are 7.5 add all together for 23.5 so then you’ll create two equal fractions 8.5/100 (the tax) and x/23.5 cross multiply 23.5 and 8.5 which is 199.75 and divide that by 100 which is 1.9975 which could round to 2 dollars which would be the tax and if you add two to 23.5 you’ll get 25.5 dollars which should be your answer but please correct me if i’m wrong

A scale drawing shows a room to be 3 inches by 4-1/2 inches. carpet, which is $15 per square yard, is to be installed in the roo
Alja [10]
The first thing we must do for this case is to look for the real dimensions.
 We have then:
 (3) * (4) = 12 feet
 (4-1 / 2) * (4) = 18 feet
We are now looking for the room area:
 (12) * (18) = 216 feet ^ 2
 We consider the following conversion:
 1 yard = 3 feet
 Applying the conversion:
 (216) * (1/3) ^ 2 = 24 yd ^ 2
The total cost will then be:
 (24) * (15) = 360 $
 Answer:

it would cost to install the carpet about:
