After you walk out the front door, the sound of traffic on the busy street causes the sensor to read 80 dB. How many times louder is it outside the library compared with inside? (8 points)

we know that difference of 10 dB represents 10 times louder sound, so by applying this,

the difference is 40 db means 10 × 10 × 10 × 10 times louder sound,

hence, the sound outside the library is 10000 times louder than the sound in library.
