She nervously peered over the window. She understood in her mind that the view was supposed to be beautiful, but all she felt wa

s fear. There had always been something about heights that disturbed her, and now she could feel the full force of this unease. She reluctantly crept a little closer with the encouragement of her friends as the fear continued to build. She couldn't help but feel that something horrible was about to happen.
Sometimes that's just the way it has to be. Sure, there were probably other options, but he didn't let them enter his mind. It was done and that was that. It was just the way it had to be.
Sometimes it's the first moment of the day that catches you off guard. That's what Wendy was thinking. She opened her window to see fire engines screeching down the street. While this wasn't something completely unheard of, it also wasn't normal. It was a sure sign of what was going to happen that day. She could feel it in her bones and it wasn't the way she wanted the day to begin.

Calculate the dose of acetaminophen for a 3-year-old child with the body surface area of 0.30 m2. The adult dose of the drug is
olganol [36]

Answer:

87 mg

Explanation:

To find the dose of acetaminophen for a 3-year-old child with the body surface area of 0.30 m², we use the formula given below

Child dose = child surface area/1.73 × adult dose

Given that the child surface area = 0.30 m² and the adult dose = 500 mg,

Child dose = child surface area/1.73 × adult dose

Substituting the values of the variables into the equation, we have

Child dose = child surface area/1.73 × adult dose

Child dose = 0.30 m²/1.73 × 500 mg

Child dose = 0.1734 × 500 mg

Child dose = 86.71 mg

Child dose = 87 mg to the nearest whole number

Even when you are extremely small physically, you might think you are overweight. If you have anorexia, you might use odd eating habits to cope with stress, worry, and low self-esteem. You might feel better in control at all times if you cut back on your food intake. This problem affects women more than men do.

Who is afflicted by anorexia?

Girls and women are more likely as boys and men to suffer from anorexia. Younger women and girls are also more likely than older women to suffer from anorexia. Girls typically experience anorexia at 16 and 17. Young women in their early twenties and adolescent girls between the ages of 13 and 19 are particularly at risk. Anorexia nervosa has uncertain exact causes. Nevertheless, the illness can run in families; young girls with a parent.

Which findings would support a diagnosis of emphysema rather than chronic bronchitis?
melomori [17]

The damage of the alveoli will support the diagnosis of emphysema rather than chronic bronchitis.

Emphysema causes damage to the alveoli of the lungs. This reduces the surface area of the lungs. As a result less oxygen is supplied to the body. The damage can't be undone hence emphysema is a chronic illness. The first symptom is shortness of breath that can reach up to the level where it can happen to the person even at rest.

Chronic bronchitis is the inflammation of the bronchi. These people are more prone to lung infections. The symptom of the disease is wet cough due to production of excessive mucus.
