Answer:

A strange shadowy figure just whooshed passed your house. You turn your head to see what it was. You think maybe it is just your imagination. You look up again just to make sure and outside your window you see a creepy clown just smiling and staring at you. You jump back a couple of feet when you see the creepy clown tilt his head, he then chuckles and runs away. Or so you thought. Your front door starts to open and you see a footprint. You think to yourself this can't be right I locked my door and there's no key outside anywhere. You then see him with a sledge hammer and you have your phone and a knife, you immediately call the cops as they are on their way they're not very far. You hold the knife up with big wide eyes as you back away and start heading outside. He trip on your shoes and startle in fear as the cops show up. You hide behind one police man who is so handsome and strong as the other two police men take the clown away. The man thanks you as you ask what for and he says "this clown has been tormenting the neighborhood for weeks and you were brave enough to call us thank you ma'am." He then wonders if you would like to have dinner which is on him and you say yes. This then becomes the start of a relationship between you and the handsome and strong cop. The end.

Which statement BEST summarizes the section, There's More to Life Than Your Salary? A) The pay for teachers slowly rises over ti
Masteriza [31]

The correct answer is D.

The teaching profession is a vocation (a strong feeling of suitability for a particular career or occupation). It is an occupation to which a person is especially drawn, a calling or a strong impulse to follow a particular activity or career.

Teaching should not be about making money in the first place. Obviously, teachers need to be paid as everybody else in any job. But there are others, non-monetary merits connected to this profession. Helping the young to become adults is the most important one. It's a huge responsibility and an honor at the same time. Other forms of compensation for the low pay are: doing a job that has a lot of prestige, being able to continue with their own further education while teaching, being an adviser and role model to the young generation, long holiday periods.

There is more to the teacher's life than a salary means that all the other merits of this profession trump the low pay.
