Why is food science called an integrated course?
Elza [17]
Food science is called an integrated course because it is made up of multiple disciplines. The result is an understanding of the fundamental principles within modern science. The food science curriculum is made up of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and statistics. Cell biology, kinetics, photosynthesis are some of the subjects studied. The integrated curriculum expands and improves upon the scope of traditional science courses. Students are encouraged to apply their knowledge and skills when considering important societal problems such as health, energy and food.

Sugar should be completely eliminated from a person's diet true or false.
Keith_Richards [23]
False. To start with, there are many different types of sugar, including glucose, fructose and lactose. Some of these types of sugar occur naturally in foods and must be consumed to help us maintain a healthy, balanced diet. Added or processed sugars, for example those in fizzy drinks, are those that can be unhealthy in excess, so eliminating or reducing the amount of intake of these sugard can be beneficial for a person's diet.
