The Earth rotates about an imaginary axis that passes two different poles. ... So, the equator experience more angular speed that tries to pull off the part of the Earth from the rotational axis. Hence the equator of the Earth is wider and bulge. The rotation of the Earth about its own axis affects the shape of the Earth.

A 1.5 kg book is lifted 2.0 m from floor .how much potential energy is acquired by the book?
Sholpan [36]

Answer:

A. 29.4 Joules

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of the book  = 1.5kg

Height of lift = 2m

Unknown:

Potential energy acquired  = ?

Solution:

Potential energy is the energy due to the position of a body.

Mathematically;

       Potential energy  = mgh

m is the mass of the body

g is the acceleration due to gravity = 9.8m/s²

h is the height

     Potential energy  = 1.5 x 9.8 x 2

     Potential energy  = 29.4J

Explain TWO specific examples of how the development of cities and the construction of monuments resulted in the rise of mathema
Zinaida [17]

Mathematics and architecture are related, since, as with other arts, architects use mathematics for several reasons. Apart from the mathematics needed when engineering buildings, architects use geometry: to define the spatial form of a building; from the Pythagoreans of the sixth century BC onwards, to create forms considered harmonious, and thus to lay out buildings and their surroundings according to mathematical, aesthetic and sometimes religious principles; to decorate buildings with mathematical objects such as tessellations; and to meet environmental goals, such as to minimise wind speeds around the bases of tall buildings.

Use of mental maps to understand the spatial construct of humans and the use of Aerial photography to help the geographers do an in-depth analysis of the landscape. Tools like the map which is again divided into various types such as the topological maps, hydrological maps, physiological, political and many more are essential tools of any geographer.
