1. Read the quote by Raphael Lemkin.
iVinArrow [24]

Answers to #1:

Raphael Lemkin's definition of genocide was not accepted until after the Holocaust.

Raphael Lemkin had been studying the problem of mass killings of a people group since the 1920s, in regard to Turkish slaughter of Armenians in 1915.  He coined the term "genocide" in 1944, in reference then also to the Holocaust.  The term uses Greek language roots and means "killing of a race" of people.  Lemkin served as an advisor to Justice Robert Jackson, the lead prosecutor at the Nuremberg trials.  "Crimes against humanity" was the charge used at the Nuremberg trials, since no international legal definition of "genocide" had yet been accepted.  Ultimately, Lemkin was able to persuade the United Nations to accept the definition of genocide and codify it into international law.  In December, 1948, the United Nations adopted the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, which made use of a number of Lemkin's ideas on the subject.

#2:   For item #2, you didn't ask a question, so I won't attempt to guess at what question you might have in mind.  The definition as you quote it comes from Article II of the UN's Genocide Convention.  Article III also indicts intention and conspiracy to commit genocide as crimes against international law.  Article IV of that same Convention then puts teeth into the UN's action, saying, "Persons committing genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in article III shall be punished, whether they are constitutionally responsible rulers, public officials or private individuals."

In what ways did the hebrews monotheistic religion differ from the people around them
seropon [69]

It is an interesting question but it is necessary to contextualize it.

First of all, hebrew is any member of ancient northern semitic people that were ancestors of the Jews, this definition is according Britannica Book.

But if I Have to mention the Bible the Hebrews was the Town of God defined in the Antique Testament  and they had roles and commandments   from God to follow. They had a sacerdote or lead who always talked with God and after communicated the messages for the People. One different from the people around them was that they can not eat murder animals and don't get idols of wood or someone else.

Now if we does check the new testament, the hebrews just believed in the Law of  Moses and it was very different of pharisees, sadducees and son of them didn't believe in Jesus Christ.

Nowadays these different of doctrine about God are alive and they have produced serious conflict between nations and people.

Explain how governments working together helps the people
Monica [59]
It represents the ideals and the opinions of all the citizens. So basically, there are three branches of government; the judicial, executive, and the legislative. The legistaltative branch takes into consideration the votes of the people and create laws, the exectutive branch enforeces these lawas, adn the judcial branch interprets the laws. All three branches keep each other in check so one branch doesn't get too much power. For instance, the legistalative branch can veto the executive branch.

but governents from different countries negotiate through the united nations to reach agreements that are beneficial for the countries.
