Answer:

1. The number of enslaved workers from Africa increased in the South because they were needed to grow labor-intensive crops.

2. Ships from other countries could only deliver limited goods to the colonies.

Explanation:

1. The economy of the South was dependent on agriculture because of its climatic and geographical conditions. To prosper the economy of America, labor/ servants required to do works in fields and household to help the colonists. To maintain a regular supply of labor, American brought the enslaved workers from Africa to help them in growing crops in plantations.

2. Navigation Acts limited the colonies by allowing colonists in supply goods only in England. It also maintained the import of goods from other countries by restricting them to supply limited goods in colonies in America.

What was done to reform society in deaf and blind people/children
Scilla [17]

Answer:

In the nineteenth century, in an era known as the Second Great Awakening, philanthropic and charitable efforts grew across the United States. Part of this humanitarian effort focused on educating disabled people. Construction of boarding schools and institutions for deaf and blind students slowly spread across the country and children once considered uneducable now received formal instruction. Nevertheless, the education of deaf and blind people was controversial. Many questioned the influences of public and private funding on the schools as well as the practice of committing children to an institution at a young age, when meant removing them from their families. Varying teaching strategies for deaf and blind children were also debated.
