1. Identify one modern technology and discuss its development and discuss what future changes might occur that could have an eve
Mnenie [13.5K]

Explanation:

1- The cell phone is a modern technology that has been developing and gaining new features in addition to being just a device for making phone calls. Currently cell phones perform the same tasks as computers, making it possible to exchange information from the internet, share media, etc.

The development of smartphones will still be significant and will impact even more on the lives of all users, as an essential device for communication at work, and through software developed for cell phones that facilitate human life, such as through the possibility of making purchases , order a taxi, carry out bank transactions, etc.

2- A management information system is a technology aimed at organizations, in order to assist a manager in the decision-making process.

An MIS is an intelligent system that uses a large volume of data and information to generate information and solutions so that a manager has a greater chance of analyzing a scenario in the organization, and makes a more effective decision for the company.

The system is derived from procedures and interaction between people, which generates constant learning and improvement focused on organizational decisions.

MIS was created to assist current organizational management, whose processes derive from a large amount of data and information, in addition to the high competitiveness in the market, which requires decisions to be made quickly, effectively and at the lowest cost.

3- The cell phone and the computer are examples of polypotent technologies, that is, those that are used for purposes greater than those for which they were created, for example, the computer was created to compute data, and the cell phone to make telephone calls, but currently perform functions of being media sharing, communication and leisure equipment.

Consider two medical tests, A and B for a virus. Test A is 95% effective at recognizing the virus when it is present but has a 1
finlep [7]

Answer:

Test B.

Explanation:

Test A - 95% effective with 10% false positive rate.

Test B -90% effective with 5% false positive rate.

Test A and B are independent methods.

One of the tests is carried out on a person and turns out to be positive.

To calculate the effectiveness of the test,

  Test A = Effectiveness in percentage divided by the false positive rate.

                   95/10 = 9.5

  Test B = Effectiveness in percentage divided by the false positive rate.

                   90/5 = 18.

Test B has a higher effective rate than Test A.

Therefore Test B is more indicative of a positive result than Test A.

write a function deal3 of type 'a list -> a' list whose output list is the same as the input list, but with the third element
qwelly [4]

Answer:

I am writing a python program for this.

  def deal3(input_list, index):

   list = []

   for x in range(len(input_list)):

       if x != index:

           list.append(input_list[x])

   print('list ->',list)

input_list = [10, 20, 30, 40, 50]

index = 2

deal3(input_list, index)

Explanation:

  • The first line of code defines a function deal3 which has two parameters. input_list which is an input list and index is the position of elements in the input list.
  • next statement list=[] declares a new list that will be the output list.
  • next statement for x in range(len(input_list)): is a loop which the loop variable x will traverse through the input list until the end of the input list is reached.
  • the next statement if x != index: checks if x variable is equal to the position of the element in the list.
  • Next statement list.append(input_list[x]) appends the elements of input list to list( new list that will be the output list). Now the output list will contain all the elements of the input list except for the element in the specified position (index variable).
  • this statement print('list ->',list) prints the list (new output list).
  • this statement input_list = [10, 20, 30, 40, 50]  insert elements 10 20 30 40 50 in the input list.
  • index=2 specifies the second position (3rd element) in the list that is to be removed.
  • deal3(input_list, index) So the function is called which will remove 3rd element of the input list and prints output array with same elements as that in input array except for the element at the specified position.
