What can you infer about Sergei's character based on the way he uses his first two wishes
laila [671]

Sergei although may seem embittered is a kind man who has used his wishes for other people around him. He used his first wish to cure his sister's lung cancer and his second wish to cure his son who has development issues. He is a kind, self-less man who wishes to put the needs of others before himself.

Which words cannot be changed when paraphrasing this text?A. “monumental task” B.“handsome building”C. “fifteen designs” D.“usab
love history [14]

I don't know what text you're talking about, but I believe the answer would be C. "fifteen designs"

A can be changed to "Memorial mission" or something.

B can be changed to "Pretty structure" or something.

D can be changed to " Available leasing area".

C will always need fifteen, as that's a prime word, it's needed to explain something. If you change that word, it'll change everything else.

Read this excerpt from William Shakespeare's Sonnet 93 and fill in the blanks in the paragraph. Whate'er thy thoughts, or thy he
Gre4nikov [31]
<span>1) The tone of the poem is bitter. This sonnet is about a forbidden love and the risk which author takes when he puts up with his feelings. He acknowledges that he can be judged by others, and that this love is a sin, but the feelings are far powerful than harsh reality. That's why the tone of the poem is bitter, as it is hard for author to resist his sinful thoughts.

2) He uses the simile of Eve’s apple, which symbolizes the deception concealed in attractive things. Simile is a figure of speech that is employed to express the comparison of one thing with another one. The author admits that he is attracted by the youth and appearance of the one he loves, and though he realises that it can bring lots of troubles forbidden fruit is the sweetest.
3) The poet contrasts the lady's beauty and her virtue to show that her beauty does not reveal her inner corruption. Shakespeare represents here a symbol of outward perfection but internal vice: the one he is in love with has a beautiful appearance, but she may be morally worm-eaten with vice.<span>

* please help this is all my points i have left!!!!!*
Harman [31]

1. In the Homer’s ‘The Odyssey’, Odysseus depicts the character epic hero qualities. As in one instance, he blinds the Cyclops Polyphemus by naming himself as ‘nobody’, and save his crew from death, by tricking him smartly. To learn about his fate, odyssey travels to Hades. When he reaches Ithaca, to claim his rightful place he takes upon on all Penelope’s suitors by stringing his famous bow.

2.

Qualities:
•He shows his cunning. He lies to Polyphemus by telling him that his ship is destroyed by Poseidon and disguise himself by naming himself as ‘nobody’. Hence when odyssey blind him and Polyphemus shouts for help “nobody is killing me!” his brother doesn’t come for help thinking he is alone.
•Another instance where odyssey demonstrates his cunning is when he knows that it’s only Polyphemus who a move the boulder from the cave’s entrance he cleverly makes Polyphemus drink wine till he gets to pass out. Later he blinds Polyphemus and when Polyphemus opens the entrance and odyssey and his men escape the cave.

Flaws:
•To make sure that Polyphemus must know about Odyssey and who ruined him, odyssey boasts about himself and tell about how he tricked him. Therefore, this leads Polyphemus to curse Odyssey and this curse leads to the death of his crewmen and makes his voyage to home difficult.

3. The archetype refers to the kind of person who is above all and often leads everyone. Odyssey is an archetype as during the Trojan war he obtained the title of ‘hero’ in other terms possessing god-like powers or traits. Though he was self-centered and often boasted about himself, he took charge of his men and lead his crew through his cunning and wit.
