Natali5045456 [20]

Part A: The statement that best states a central idea of this text is the second option: "When helping others, it is important to act; words alone are not enough."

The first option  ("Good people volunteer...") is incorrect because the text makes no generalizations about good people at all; the third option ("In times of crisis...") is incorrect because the interaction between older and younger people in the text is not relevant; the fourth option ("Most people...") is incorrect because the person who needs help in the text is not a stranger, but a friend.

Part B: The essential detail from the text that helps to shape the central idea in Part A is the fact that, despite receiving over fifty messages in social networks offering support (words), Martin and his father were actually only visited by Jerome that day (actions).

<em>So a long... long.... long.... really - very long time agooo there was an blue ogre named Drek. Drek was a vewy handsome ogre!!! </em>

<em>Drek one day went to the store to buy some toothpaste and orange juice (He realllllyyy liked the taste of it...) at Fallmart. But when he was at the grocery store, he saw this really cute boi working at the cash register bagging the food who was like, 7 foot 3 and like, really handsome. </em>

<em>Drek realized it was love at first site :). BUT.....</em>

<em>The boy was a human!! And he was also holding hands with this realllly pretty human girl (we'll call her bella), and they looked super happy together. But Drek was persistent! </em>

<em>Drek sashayed up to the cash register and put a hand on his waist. </em>

<em>To the boy he said this: "Haaaayyyyy, I'm Drek - you look cute, but who's that ragdoll who you're holding hands with?? She's so ugly like omg built like a lego tower - why don't you get with me??"</em>

<em>The boy: "Uhm Hi drek I'm Candalidsocimeousfor. This is my mom, Bella- I think you're REEAAALLLY cute 2. Wanna be my boyfriend??</em>

<em>Bella (THe mom): Omg yasssss you're finally getting a boyfranddd Like ive been waiting 4evvverr!!</em>

Drek: Okay so I thought you were pretty cute b4 but I guess you're a mommas boi - I don't like those so.... Can you just like - scan my toothpaste and orange juice already  - I'm hungry... :/

<em>Candalidsocimeousfor: Wat the hack. Oh ma gooosssh whyyy :(((( Alexa, play a sad sonnngg</em>

<em>Alexa: No. </em>

<em>Candalidsocimeousfor: waaaahhhhh</em>

<em>Bella: I mean, tbh Drek I dont really blame you cause my son is kind of ugly but I don't say that since I'm his mom - you're also hotter than my husband - want 2 date?</em>

<em>Drek: ....Do you like orange juice n toothpaste?</em>

<em>Bella: Mhm</em>

<em>Drek: When's the wedding gon be?? </em>

<em>Bella: Awssommee lets go to mcdonalds for our wedding!! Alexa's gonna be our bridesmade!!</em>

<em>Candalidsocimeousfor: Wat about dad. </em>

<em>Bella: Idk and idc, also - your adopted, loser.</em>

And then Drek and Bella got married, and Alexa was a bridesmade (she was very happy... for a robot), and Candalidsocimeousfor and his father worked at olive garden to pay the rent!

<em>THE END</em>

<em>Hope I was of assistance! (lol)</em> <em><u>#SpreadTheLove <3</u></em>
